Do you want to climb Kilimanjaro? If so, you have a decision to make: how are you going to get there and back? The mountain is northeast of Tanzania in the Arusha region. Moshi or Arusha are your two options for getting there, with Moshi being 66 km from Kilimanjaro National Park and Arusha being 83 km away. At Follow Alise, we recommend attaching a safari tour on either side of your Kili climb- it's an excellent way to reward yourself after conquering this amazing challenge! We often take groups who do both because they're rewarding themselves for completing their goal. To climb Kilimanjaro you have to get there and back.
