Hello,
So I finally did it. I upgraded from Android 4.4.4 to 5.1. Didn't have much choice, I was getting 20+ nag screens everyday to upgrade on the Moto X 2013.
Verizon / Motorola removed a LOT of functionality Imagine getting your auto software upgraded and all of a sudden the FM radio doesn't work. The loss of features was bad, very bad.
But the focus of this rant is to compare the Moto X 2013 upgrade to 5.1 versus the Nexus 7 2013 upgrade to 5.1.1. Surprising to me, the Moto version seems more stable. It crashes way less, and has noticably less funky bug manifestations. An example is the error message "Google Hangouts is not working" happens a lot on the Nexus, but not at all on the Moto X. Battery life seems down some on the phone, but the tablet is requiring frequent recharges I'm attributing to the upgrade to 5.x
It seems like Moto and Verizon supplied a more cohesive and less buggy upgrade than has ASUS. What's your expereince?
Please help
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
